Position Description:
Seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Mailroom Clerk to join a dynamic team in New Haven, CT. In this essential role, you will manage daily receipt, sorting, and shipment of materials within an office warehouse environment. You will serve as the primary point of contact for mail management and oversee all domestic and international shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. If you're organized, proactive, and eager to support logistics operations, this opportunity offers steady hours and competitive pay.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and sort incoming mail into designated lockers daily (~40%). Pack and prepare materials for shipping, including applying postage, weighing, and staging (~20%). Maintain postal equipment such as meters, scales, and handling machinery (~10%). Manage mail tracking, shipment records, and coordinate mailing campaigns (~10%). Conduct inventory of supplies, manage costs, and restock as needed (~10%). Replenish postage meters and track usage data for monthly reporting (~10%).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Entry-level position with a strong attention to detail. Ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety policies and procedural instructions. Basic technical aptitude to operate mailing and shipping equipment. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
