We help each other. We notice when someone is buried, and we jump in without being asked. We don't watch the clock when something matters. We don't say "that's not my job." We value trust, initiative, and teamwork , not as buzzwords, but as the actual standard we hold each other to. If that sounds exhausting, this isn't the right role for you. If that sounds like the kind of team you've been looking for
About Pelipost For nearly a decade, Pelipost has helped families stay connected with incarcerated loved ones by making it simple to send letters, photos, greeting cards, and other printed items into correctional facilities. We're now expanding into full correctional mail processing through PelipostPRO, our facility-facing platform that's positioned to support statewide contracts. We've been around for 10 years, and we've stayed small on purpose. A lean team means everyone has real ownership, decisions move fast, and the work each person does actually matters. We're not building a warehouse full of replaceable workers — we're building a team of people who care. Every order we pack represents a real family, often in a difficult moment. The work matters. We take it seriously. The Role We're hiring an Operations Associate I to join our small operations team. This is a hands-on, fulfillment-focused role — matching and packing photo orders, preparing bulk shipments, processing return mail, and supporting the day-to-day operation with care and accuracy. This is Level I in our Operations Associate career path , which means it starts focused on fulfillment but has a clear, defined growth path. As you prove yourself, you'll have the opportunity to advance to: Operations Associate II — Fulfillment + Email/Chat Customer Support Operations Associate III — Specialization in either Customer Experience (phone support) or Operations (QA, PelipostPRO, training) Senior Operations Associate — Team leadership and project ownership We'll walk you through exactly what each level looks like and what it takes to get there. Growth here is earned, but it's also real and documented. What You'll Do Match and hand-pack photo orders with high accuracy and attention to detail Prepare PelipostPRO bulk shipments to correctional facilities Process customer return mail — log returns, identify reasons, and route appropriately Follow established SOPs precisely while flagging anything that seems off Maintain a clean, organized workspace Help your teammates when they're buried — and ask for help when you are Learn our systems, customers, and standards from the ground up The Schedule Part-time, ~29 hours per week, in-office: Day Hours Monday 8:30 AM
- 4:00 PM Tuesday 8:30 AM
- 4:00 PM Wednesday OFF Thursday 8:30 AM
- 4:00 PM Friday 8:30 AM
- 3:00 PM Saturday/Sunday OFF Mondays and Tuesdays are our heaviest fulfillment days (weekend print backlog), so reliability on those days is especially important.
The Wednesday break is intentional — this work is detailed and physically repetitive, and we believe a midweek reset makes for better work and a healthier team. Occasional flexibility may be needed during peak periods. We ask, you tell us what works.
What We're Looking For Required:
3+ years of work experience in fulfillment, retail, hospitality, customer service, administrative work, or a similar role where reliability and attention to detail mattered Demonstrated stability — we value people who commit to a role and grow within it Strong attention to detail — you catch what others miss, and you take pride in accuracy Trustworthy and dependable — what you say you'll do, you do Initiative — you see what needs doing and do it; you don't wait to be told Team-oriented — you help others when they're buried and ask for help when you are Professional communication — clear, kind, and respectful in writing and in person Emotional steadiness — calm and consistent, even on busy days Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word — comfortable navigating spreadsheets and writing professional documents Tech comfort — you can learn new software quickly and aren't intimidated by systems Physical ability to stand, sit, and perform detailed packing work for extended periods Reliable transportation to our Tampa-area location Bonus points for: Experience in e-commerce fulfillment, mail/shipping operations, or print production Background in customer service (email or chat) Experience working in a small business or startup environment Any exposure to the correctional, legal services, or social services space Compensation & Benefits Base pay: $16-18 per hour , depending on experience Paid holidays — 4 hours of holiday pay for part-time staff on company-observed holidays (USPS Holidays + a few more) Quarterly performance bonus — After 90 days of employment, you'll be eligible for a quarterly performance bonus based on fulfillment quality, reliability, and contribution to the team. Specifics will be reviewed with you during onboarding.
