Job Description

Position Summary The Part-Time Deposit Services Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Deposit Services Department and branch network. This position is responsible for assisting with mail processing, incoming phone coverage, document review, and various operational tasks to help ensure efficient daily bank operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process and work returned mail items in accordance with bank procedures. Operate and maintain the mail machine for outgoing correspondence and departmental mail processing. Prepare and load mail bags for branch delivery and courier transport. Process AVS (Asset Verification System) and SSA requests received through federal benefit verification programs in accordance with bank procedures. Add debit card travel alerts as requested and according to bank procedures. Work and review ScoreCard Rewards reports. Answer incoming telephone calls and direct calls to the appropriate department or employee. Review new account documentation received from Retail for completeness and accuracy and identify any missing required documentation. File departmental records and maintain organized filing systems. Provide general administrative and operational support to the Deposit Services Department. Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous banking, clerical, administrative, or customer service experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a team environment. Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and transport mail bags or boxes weighing up to approximately 25 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements associated with filing and mail processing. Working Conditions Work is performed in a professional office environment with regular interaction with employees across multiple departments and branch locations.
