City Carrier Assistant

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a City Carrier Assistant, where you will play a vital role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of packages within your community. Duties Load and unload packages using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners to ensure safe handling and accurate processing Deliver parcels along designated routes efficiently, maintaining high standards of customer service Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, adhering to safety protocols and operational guidelines Organize and maintain shipping and receiving records through filing systems and digital tracking tools Assist with warehouse distribution tasks, including sorting, stacking, and preparing shipments for delivery or storage Conduct heavy lifting safely when handling large or bulky packages during loading and unloading activities Support warehouse operations by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and inventory accuracy Experience Prior warehouse experience is highly preferred, especially familiarity with warehouse distribution processes Experience operating RF scanners or similar inventory management technology is advantageous Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Organizational skills that enable precise filing, record keeping, and task prioritization Certification or experience with forklift operation is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures enhances effectiveness in this role This vibrant opportunity empowers you to develop essential logistics skills while contributing to a vital community service.
