$43,000 to $47, 840 per year

Direct hire with company About the Role The Mailroom Lead oversees the daily operations of the mailroom and ensures all mail, packages, and shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards. This role provides hands‐on leadership, supports workflow coordination, and serves as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external carriers. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of guiding others while maintaining a high level of service and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Oversight Lead day‐to‐day mailroom operations, ensuring timely processing and delivery of all mail and packages. Serve as the main contact for mailroom‐related questions, escalations, and problem‐solving. Provide guidance and support to junior staff assisting with mailroom tasks. Maintain and enforce mailroom standards, organization, and safety practices. Identify workflow improvements and recommend process enhancements to increase efficiency. Mailroom Operations Receive, sort, deliver, pick up, and process all courier items. Verify and maintain records for outgoing shipments; prepare items for shipment. Track courier and accountable items (FedEx, UPS, Certified Mail, etc.). Properly package, mark, label, and process all non‐hazardous and hazardous materials using carrier‐specific software (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.). Research and route unidentified or generic mail to the correct recipients. Coordinate, stage, and transport bulk mail items. Follow all processes outlined in company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Monitor packages for hazardous or suspicious materials and escalate when necessary. Communication & Customer Service Respond to internal customer inquiries and requests promptly and professionally. Maintain accurate records of customer inquiries and request fulfillment. Check and respond to mailroom‐related emails throughout the day. Create FedEx labels and email tracking numbers to recipients. Contact carriers to resolve delivery issues and follow up on delayed packages. Administrative & Organizational Tasks Log all inbound packages into PLM. Open boxes and sort contents by recipient name. Support supply room deliveries and maintain associated checklists. Break down boxes and maintain a clean, organized mailroom environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Strong leadership qualities with the ability to guide others and take ownership of daily operations. Excellent organizational and time‐management skills. Strong communication skills. Ability to multitask and independently prioritize various types of work. Resourceful problem‐solver with strong follow‐up skills. Comfortable working in a fast‐paced environment.
