Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a commercial box truck or van to deliver mail and packages to designated locations
- Load and unload mail and packages from the vehicle using pallet jacks or other equipment as necessary
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of mail and packages
- Collect outgoing mail and packages from customers and ensure proper handling and processing
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures when required
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred
- Ability to safely operate a box truck or van in various weather conditions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lift heavy packages, up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis
- Familiarity with using pallet jacks or other equipment for loading/unloading is a plus
