Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Rural Carrier Associate and become a vital link in delivering exceptional service to our communities. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering mail, packages, and parcels along designated rural routes. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure timely deliveries while providing friendly, professional customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, stay active, and make a positive impact every day. Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and courier vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling of heavy items through manual lifting or the use of forklifts and pallet jacks when necessary. Drive assigned routes efficiently, navigating rural roads with precision to meet delivery schedules. Deliver mail, parcels, and packages directly to customers' doorsteps or designated delivery points with professionalism and courtesy. Verify recipient identities when required and obtain signatures or proof of delivery as needed. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route sheets, and documentation of all deliveries made throughout the shift. Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation of delivery equipment. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse customers. Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with loading/unloading procedures is highly beneficial. Commercial driving experience, especially operating box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmissions. Experience as a courier or delivery driver, demonstrating safe driving habits on rural routes. Ability to handle heavy lifting and moving of packages safely using proper techniques or equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Knowledge of route driving best practices for efficiency and safety in rural environments. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred but not required.
