As a CNA/Receptionist, you will be one of the first people patients meet while also providing hands-on clinical support that helps ensure a positive, efficient, and compassionate care experience. Job Summary The CNA/Receptionist - Wound Care provides both administrative and patient care support within the Wound Care Clinic. This role welcomes and checks in patients, answers phones, coordinates basic clerical functions, assists nurses with patient care activities, obtains vital signs, prepares treatment areas, and helps maintain a safe and organized environment. Key Responsibilities Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion. Check patients in and verify patient identification. Answer incoming telephone calls courteously and direct calls appropriately. Schedule and coordinate patient flow within the clinic. Monitor and document vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature, pulse oximetry, and blood glucose checks. Assist nurses with wound care procedures, dressing changes, and patient observation. Prepare treatment rooms, supplies, and equipment for patient care. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the clinic. Assist patients with transfers, wheelchair transport, lifting, and mobility needs. Observe patient conditions and promptly report concerns to nursing staff. Collect specimens as directed. Maintain and clean patient care equipment. Respond appropriately during emergency situations. Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and team members. Support a positive patient experience through excellent customer service. Job Qualifications Required Completion of a Nurse Aide training course or demonstrated competency through on-the-job training. Current BLS certification. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Preferred Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Previous healthcare, clinic, physician office, or wound care experience. Experience with patient registration, scheduling, or medical office reception duties.
