Full-Time Position Overview:
The East Valley JCC is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for our community. This role combines front desk responsibilities with administrative support for our early childhood, youth, and community programs, ensuring smooth daily operations and a welcoming environment for all families and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist members, families, staff, and visitors in a warm, professional manner
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails, providing accurate information about programs and services
  • Manage front desk operations, including check-in procedures, visitor access, and security protocols
  • Support program registration, enrollment paperwork, and maintain accurate participant records
  • Communicate with families regarding schedules, events, and program updates
  • Maintain organized files, databases, and office systems
  • Assist with data entry, document preparation, and general clerical tasks
  • Coordinate schedules, calendars, and meeting logistics for staff and programs
  • Ensure required forms (emergency contacts, permissions, licensing documentation) are complete and up to date
  • Help coordinate events, special programs, and community activities
  • Assist with basic billing support and program-related financial tracking as needed
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and office supply inventory
  • Collaborate with program directors and administrative staff to support daily operations
Qualifications:
  • Previous receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in G-Suite and general computer systems
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor with a positive, customer-service mindset
  • Experience in a school, childcare, or community center setting is a plus
Work Environment:
  • Fast-paced, family-oriented community center
  • Frequent interaction with children, families, and staff
  • Requires sitting, standing, and occasional light lifting
Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
