No music education or experience is required. We prefer someone with experience in restaurants, hospitality, hotels, catering, banking, medical, any fast paced and hard working customer experience. This will be a part-time position with the opportunity to move into full time. If you're looking for a position that is not covered in corporate red tape, but instead a locally owned small business with values and a leader in the arts community, this is the right position for you! We are looking for someone that loves people, kids and is dedicated to doing their best at their job. It doesn't hurt if you love to listen to music, but you do not need to be able to play it. We have two locations and employment will be at either our Thunderbird location (8476 W Thunderbird Rd # 202 Peoria, AZ 85381) and Union Hills location (8110 W. Union Hills, Suite #200 Glendale, AZ 85308). Both locations are only 2-3 miles away from each other. Hours could range 12:00pm- 8:30 p.m. Monday- Fridays. Saturday 9am-3pm. You must be able to work weekends, or even every other weekend. This is an evening position. If you cannot work evenings do not apply!
Duties/Responsibilities:
Serve as the receptionist for the Academy, greeting visitors and checking in clients, providing them with information and directing accordingly. Answer phones, direct calls to appropriate individuals, and prepare messages. (We're looking for the GOLDEN VOICE, that sounds amazing on the phone with a great tone and excitement for our customers. If anyone has told you, that your voice should be on the radio, we're looking for you) Sort mail and deliver to the appropriate department or individual; process outgoing mail. Prepare letters, memos, forms, and reports according to written or verbal instructions. Manage calendars and coordinate/schedule lessons, meetings, interviews, etc. Communicating with teachers, staff and clients, handling questions and concerns. Assist in the onboarding process for new hires. Sales of merchandise, books, and other accessories in a POS. Achieving monthly sales and client retention goals Perform clerical duties including typing, filing, and completion of simple forms. Operate office machines including copiers, scanners, phone/voicemail systems, personal computers, and other equipment. Maintain filing systems either manually or electronically. Manage inventory of office supplies; order and distribute office supplies as necessary. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 1-3 years of relevant experience in an office setting is preferred. Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and strong attention to detail. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including strong spelling and grammar. Desire to provide outstanding customer service and show strong interpersonal and sales skills. Proficient computer skills and ability to operate general office equipment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and willingness to learn unfamiliar software. Ability to work well under limited supervision. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Have a valid driver's license or adequate transportation to work.
