Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced veterinary environment. This role requires a love for animals and the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and veterinary staff. Duties Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date. Process payments and handle transactions with care. Assist in managing inventory of supplies and equipment. Provide basic information on animal care, including grooming, training, and health tips. Collaborate with veterinarians and technicians to ensure smooth clinic operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area. Experience Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas: Animal care practices, including handling various species such as dogs, cats, and equines. Familiarity with dog training techniques and animal restraint methods. Understanding of aseptic techniques used in veterinary settings. Experience in kennel operations or pet grooming is beneficial. Knowledge of laboratory procedures related to animal health is a plus.
