Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for animals, assisting veterinarians in various procedures, and ensuring the overall well-being of our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of veterinary practices, excellent communication skills, and a passion for animal care. We are currently looking for 2-3 experience technicians or RVTs and 1-2 receptionist. We are also looking at cross training a CSR to do couple days as a CSR and couple days as a veterinary assistant. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Conduct X-ray imaging and ensure proper handling of equipment. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Provide animal restraint during examinations and procedures to ensure safety. Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and training techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments using aseptic techniques. Monitor animal behavior and vital signs to identify any changes in health status. Support pet grooming services as needed. Requirements Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program is preferred. Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy is essential. Experience in dog training or veterinary critical care is a plus. Proficiency in laboratory procedures and X-ray techniques is highly desirable. Strong skills in animal restraint to ensure safety during examinations. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
