RECEPTIONIST
Wellgreens is looking for friendly, reliable, customer-focused Receptionists to join our team. Position Summary OurReceptionistsplay a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming experience for every visitor at Wellgreens. They greet each customer with a smile, positive energy, and a professional attitude, ensuring that everyone feels valued and comfortable from the moment they arrive. Receptionists are responsible for checking customers into our system, verifying eligibility to purchase cannabis, gathering customer information (including phone number, email, and referral source), and assisting with any questions. Their goal is to ensure each visit is smooth, efficient, and enjoyable. While a general understanding of cannabis is helpful, full training will be provided. The most important qualities are strong customer service skills, a positive and professional demeanor, excellent communication, and the ability to engage with individuals from all backgrounds. Receptionists help set the tone for an outstanding experience at Wellgreens every day. Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Deliver an exceptional customer experience in person, online, and over the phone while greeting every customer with a smile, professional demeanor, and ensuring a safe and comfortable visit. Answer phone calls promptly and professionally; assist with questions, online orders, curbside pickups, and phone orders (platforms such as Weedmaps, Dutchie). Be knowledgeable of all store specials, daily deals, and promotions, including those listed on Weedmaps and other platforms. Continuously build knowledge of cannabis products, cannabinoids, terpenes, methods of consumption, and how they relate to product recommendations and sales. Understand and follow compliance and regulatory requirements for retail cannabis operations, including Medical vs. Recreational rules, weight conversions, and minimum purchasing age laws. Stay current on industry trends by reading articles provided by management (required) and optional external resources. Learn and apply basic sales techniques, including memorizing product information, benefits, and pricing. Maintain a clean, organized reception and entry area at all times; assist with store cleanliness and organization during downtime. Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts, dressed appropriately with a clean uniform and all necessary tools prepared for work. Assist on the sales floor once trained in cannabis products and sales procedures, supporting budtenders and providing outstanding customer service as needed. Support curbside and online order fulfillment. Efficiently label and tag incoming products. Assist in the making of the displays for new products. Stock and organize all levels of inventory of the outlet(s) including cannabis, merchandise, shop supplies, promotional materials, and all other non-cannabis items. Assist with side work, stocking, organizing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store. Demonstrate strong attendance and reliability Be a positive, proactive team player who works well with others Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned by Shift Leads, Managers, or Supervisors.Qualifications:
21 years of age or older Minimum of 1 year experience in a receptionist, customer service, front desk, or similar customer-facing role Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service Ability to input and access information in Point of Sale (POS) systems Must follow all company cash-handling policies and maintain an accurate cash drawer at all times Reliable transportation and punctual for all scheduled shifts, meetings, and trainings Able to meet and uphold all Wellgreens professional standards and appearance guidelines Willing and able to pass a background check in compliance with state and company requirements Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment and multitasking as needed Basic understanding of cannabis products a plus (training provided) Flexibility to occasionally assist on the sales floor after training Schedule and Availability 35-40 hours per week Weekend and Holiday availability is required Regular days off will typically fall between Monday and Thursday Work schedules are released two weeks in advance Scheduled hours and days off are subject to change based on business needs and management discretion Skills and Attitudes Must be motivated, hardworking, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service in the cannabis industry Positive, friendly, and professional demeanor that creates a welcoming environment for all customers Strong multitasker with the ability to manage multiple duties and responsibilities efficiently Able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly and professionally interact with customers, team members, and management Ability to remain calm, flexible, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced retail environment Uses good judgment to resolve customer issues or challenges appropriately Follows directions thoroughly and adapts quickly to changing procedures or customer needs Works cohesively, respectfully, and professionally with all team members Reliable, punctual, and committed to upholding company standards Willing to take initiative and contribute to a positive team environment Education High School diploma or GED (Required) Physical Demands/Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 6 hours at a time Ability to safely and properly lift and move items up to 50 pounds as required Capable of working in a fast-paced and sometimes high-stress retail environment Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Requires medium physical work, including repetitive motions and occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds Must be available to work full-time hours (35 to 40 hours per week) Environmental Conditions Occasional work in small or enclosed spaces Regular cleaning and maintenance of various areas of the facility, including sales floor, bathrooms, and staff break areas Tasks may include dusting, sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters, doors, and windows Exposure to cleaning products and standard retail environmental conditions Benefits Health Benefits (Company Contribution) Paid Sick Leave 401k Program Monthly snack allowance for the team Employee Discount Monthly Sample Bag Incentives Holiday payCompensation:
