Receptionist (full-time) at Skilled Nursing Facility Aviara Healthcare Center - 3.2 Encinitas, CA Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Customer service High school diploma or GED Organizational skills Front desk Office experience Full Job Description Position Summary The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, families, vendors, and staff. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing the facility's front desk operations, answering and directing phone calls, greeting visitors, and assisting with administrative tasks while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet residents, visitors, families, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner. Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls. Provide information and assistance to visitors and callers as appropriate. Maintain the front desk area in a clean, organized, and professional manner. Receive and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries. Assist with clerical duties including filing, copying, scanning, and data entry. Monitor visitor sign-in procedures and ensure compliance with facility policies. Assist residents and families with general inquiries and direct them to the appropriate department. Coordinate communication between departments as needed. Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor lobby activity and notify appropriate personnel of concerns or emergencies. Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and conference room reservations. Support administrative staff with special projects and tasks as assigned. Maintain office supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing. QualificationsEducation and Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Previous receptionist, customer service, healthcare, or office experience preferred. Experience in a skilled nursing facility, healthcare setting, or assisted living environment preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, copiers, and scanners. Working Conditions Works primarily in an office/front desk environment. May interact with residents, visitors, family members, vendors, and staff throughout the day. May be required to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedules based on facility needs.
