Veterinary Receptionist

Job Summary Jet's Pet Hospital is looking for a veterinary receptionist to join our team and provide a warm, welcoming first impression for our clients, while fostering smooth clinic operations to ensure the optimal client/patient experience. General Responsibilities Greet visitors and obtain name and other pertinent information, and start a chart in online software (Avimark). Weigh pets, room them, and notify back office of patient's arrival. Make appointments and communicate with clients over the phone, via online submissions, and in-person. Check clients out, charge client, and schedule appropriate follow up appointments. Assist with dispensing of medication or writing prescriptions via online pharmacy. Answer phones and route calls, as necessary, to appropriate individuals. Accurately take and deliver messages. Take urine/stool samples from clients and place them in appropriate send out container for lab. Accept and sign for packages, and notify addressee of package arrival. Open appropriate packages and help with inventory management. Perform a variety of routine clerical tasks. Assist lead receptionist in duties as necessary. Maintain clean and orderly reception area. Must be able to handle animals safely, will need to handle animal urine/stool samples. •We reserve the right to add or change duties at any time.

Job Qualifications Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Some work-related experience, must be comfortable around pets (cats, dogs) Skills Computer skills Excellent written and verbal communication Customer service Critical thinking Attention to detail Active listening Works well as an individual and as a team Ability to work in a fast paced environment Job type: Full time

Schedule:

Monday- Friday 9am-6pm Pay depends on experience.
