Front Desk Receptionist - Dental Clinic The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and callers at our dental clinic. This role is responsible for managing the front office, including greeting patients, answering phones, handling inquiries, processing appointments, and supporting various administrative tasks. The receptionist helps create a professional, welcoming, and patient-centered environment while maintaining confidentiality and operational efficiency. Responsibilities
Answer and direct incoming calls; take and relay accurate messages.
Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
Prepare patient charts daily for scheduled dental appointments.
Register and check in/out patients, including verifying and updating demographic and insurance information and obtaining required documentation and signatures.
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments; send reminders as needed.
Process requests and respond to inquiries from patients, dentists, specialists, and pharmacies.
Assist with maintaining accurate patient records within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in implementation efforts.
Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree or certificate in medical or dental office administration or related field preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a front office, receptionist, or customer service role, preferably in a dental, medical, or healthcare setting.
Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Proficient in the use of standard office equipment and computer systems, including electronic health records (EHR), Microsoft Office, and scheduling software. Experience with dental practice management software is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional demeanor with strong customer service and patient service orientation.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, use mature judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Physical Demands
Ability to remain in a stationary position (seated or standing) for extended periods.
Frequent movement within the clinic to assist patients and access files or office equipment.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally (e.g., moving files or office supplies).
Manual dexterity required to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer keyboard, telephone, copier).
Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to communicate with patients and staff, both in person and by telephone.

This position is responsible for analyzing and interpreting a multitude of data sources, conducting in-depth assessments and synthesizing the results. They communicate their findings to team members, clients and management to foster collaboration, assist with decision-making and identify areas of need. The Specialist ensures data accuracy and completeness as well as assures compliance with policies and procedures.
Output:
Serve as a link between the data systems of multiple departments and ensure information security. Use your knowledge of IT infrastructure to provide recommendations for system improvements. Serve as project manager for the implementation of new systems or the modification of existing systems.
Knowledge Required:
Data visualization techniques Scripting language (Python) Experience with AWS services such as S3, EC2 and Elastic Beanstalk Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript or HTML5 is required.
