Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a manufacturing facility in Hanford, California. This Contract position will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, callers, and internal teams, helping create an organized and welcoming office environment. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome visitors, direct them appropriately, and help maintain an orderly flow of traffic through the front office.
- Operate a multi-line phone system, answer incoming calls promptly, and route messages or calls to the correct departments.
- Prepare routine written communications and provide general administrative support to front-office activities.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries while ensuring items reach the appropriate recipients.
- Keep the reception area neat, organized, and ready to receive guests at all times.
- Issue visitor badges and follow site access procedures to support facility security requirements.
- Coordinate with department staff and leadership to relay information accurately and respond to front-desk inquiries.
- Assist with additional clerical or office support tasks as needed to help daily operations run smoothly. Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a receptionist or front-desk support role.
- Ability to manage a multi-line phone or switchboard system with confidence and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with visitors, employees, and leadership.
- Proven ability to handle inbound calls professionally while balancing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with basic administrative tasks such as correspondence, message taking, and mail handling.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a busy office setting.
- Availability to work a part-time contract assignment in Hanford, California.
