Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Veterinary Receptionist to serve as the cornerstone of our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal care and customer service, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills, leadership qualities, and a passion for pet health. As the Lead Veterinary Receptionist, you will assist our practice manager in overseeing front desk operations, client communications, and support veterinary staff to ensure a seamless and compassionate experience for pet owners and their animals. Responsibilities Manage daily front desk activities, including appointment scheduling, client check-in/out, and medical record management with precision and professionalism. Lead and mentor the reception team, fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellent customer service and efficient workflow. Handle billing and collections accurately, and ensuring timely processing of payments. Coordinate communication between clients and veterinary staff to facilitate smooth clinical operations and follow-up care. Maintain thorough knowledge of veterinary terminology, procedures, and protocols to assist clients effectively. Ensure compliance with local Rabies Reporting. Support veterinary critical care efforts by managing supplies. Qualifications Proven experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles within animal healthcare settings; prior kennel or animal husbandry experience is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, and pet care practices. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, medical collection processes, and aseptic techniques relevant to veterinary medicine. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise staff effectively while maintaining a positive team environment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing appointments, records, and billing processes. Knowledge of animal anatomy and veterinary critical care practices enhances ability to support clinical teams efficiently. Ability to communicate clearly with clients about pet health needs while demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Experience:
Two-years veterinary experience is required. Spanish Speaker a plus! Knowledge of Ezyvet a plus!Pay:
