Front Desk Associate - Evening Shift See instructions at the bottom on how to apply. Become part of one of the Bay Area's most beloved arts organizations! Circus Center is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Front Desk Associate to support our evening programs. This role serves as a key representative of Circus Center and is often the first and last point of contact for our community each day. Evening shifts require a high level of independence, sound judgment, and accountability, as this position regularly operates without direct supervision. We are seeking someone who is welcoming, organized, and highly proactive—an individual who anticipates needs, communicates clearly, and confidently supports both students and parents. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their role, stays consistently engaged and productive, and contributes to a positive, well-run environment. Just as importantly, we are looking for someone interested in building a long-term role within Circus Center—someone who values consistency, invests in relationships, develops deep knowledge of our programs, and becomes a reliable, trusted presence within our community over time.

Monday-Thursday 5pm-10:15pm, Fridays 5pm-9:30pm•While the core schedule is evening-based, we value flexibility for occasional daytime availability to support special events such as showcases, flying trapeze parties, and other community programs.Location:

Warmly greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors Serve as a primary point of contact for student and parent questions, providing clear and helpful information Work independently during evening shifts while maintaining high standards of service and operations Check-in students and ensure accurate attendance tracking Schedule and coordinate classes, ensuring clear communication between students and instructors Assist with event planning tasks, including preparation, and administrative support for performances and special events Process financial transactions for classes, services, and merchandise with accuracy Reconcile, log, and securely manage daily cash sales Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby environment Monitor, check, and restock restrooms as needed Receive and manage mail, packages, and deliveries Identify, document, and help coordinate facility maintenance requests Close and secure the facility at the end of the evening shift Proactively identify and complete tasks during slower periods (cleaning, organizing, administrative follow-ups, and prep work) Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned to support operationsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years in a customer-facing or administrative role (front desk experience preferred) Demonstrated organizational skills and dependability in past roles Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Basic math skills and comfort handling financial transactions Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment Proficiency in Google Workspace and general computer literacy Experience with Momence and Social Media is a plus, but not requiredPHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 30 lbs unassisted Frequent use of hands for computer and office equipment operation Comfortable working in an active environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and typical office conditions About Circus Center Originally founded in 1974 as The Pickle Family Circus, today Circus Center remains a vibrant hub of the circus community on the West Coast.
