Job Description

We are looking for a welcoming and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to support a busy healthcare office in California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, managing front-desk operations, and keeping administrative workflows organized in an onsite setting. The right candidate will bring strong communication skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities at once, and a detail-oriented approach to patient-facing service.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and visitors courteously, answer front-desk inquiries, and create a positive arrival experience for everyone entering the clinic.
  • Coordinate daily reception activities by answering phone calls, directing messages, and managing patient check-in and check-out tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain and organize medical records, including retrieving, sorting, and delivering documents between departments as needed.
  • Support administrative operations by preparing forms, updating basic records, and assisting the business office with routine clerical tasks.
  • Use office software such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe tools to manage correspondence and complete documentation accurately.
  • Balance several responsibilities at once while adjusting to changing patient volume and coverage needs throughout the workday.
  • Communicate clearly with patients and staff in both English and another language to help ensure smooth service and understanding.
  • Help keep the reception and shared work areas orderly, stocked, and ready for daily operations.
