6 Months (contract with high potential for extension) Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to support patient scheduling, registration, front desk operations, and administrative tasks in a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while assisting patients, managing appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients, visitors, and callers professionally Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule appointments Perform patient registration and update demographic information Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations Collect copays and maintain payment records Prepare and maintain patient charts and documentation Handle incoming calls, messages, mail, and office correspondence Perform clerical duties including scanning, filing, faxing, and photocopying Support office operations and maintain inventory/equipment Assist patients with telehealth and appointment coordination Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Experience in healthcare reception, front desk, or administrative support Strong customer service and communication skills Experience with scheduling and patient registration Basic knowledge of insurance verification and copay collection Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
