Front Desk Receptionist The Gardens on Quail - 3.4 Arvada, CO Job Details Temporary | Contract $19 - $21 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Referral program Qualifications Computer operation Interpersonal skills Computer literacy Customer inquiry handling High school diploma or GED Organizational skills Clerical experience Full Job Description Working Full time (Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday) Job title Receptionist Reports to Community Operations Manager Job Purpose The Receptionist is responsible for manning the front desk, greeting and directing visitors, gatekeeping the community, answering phones, replying to emails, booking transportation, handling mail and packages, and fielding questions from both visitors and residents. This role ensures a welcoming, professional, and organized front-of-house experience for all community stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Help with clerical projects for the week. Answer phones, respond to emails, and help monitor nurse call lights. Assist residents and guests with questions in a professional and friendly manner. Display a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the job. Escort family members to and from residents' rooms as needed. Take and enter staff food orders. Receive, sort, and disperse mail and packages. Assist in maintaining a clean front desk, bistro, town center, and lobby area. Assist with watering plants in the front entrance, courtyard, and greenhouse. Book transportation for residents. Take inventory of and restock supplies. Other duties as assigned by the Community Operations Manager or Executive Director Qualifications and Experience Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. At least 1 year of prior experience in reception, customer service, or related field preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills. Evidence of effective problem resolution skills. Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations. Resourcefulness and adaptability. Ability to make decisions and accept responsibility for consequences. Strong organizational skills and efficiency. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability and willingness to act as a role model in conduct and appearance. Basic computer skills. Skills Required Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities. Professional demeanor and positive attitude. Dependability and strong work ethic. Working Conditions Front desk and lobby environment with frequent interaction with residents, families, and visitors. May be exposed to occasional stressful situations requiring professionalism and composure. Physical Requirements Must Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds. Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time. Reasonable accommodations may be made in accordance with ADA. Hours and Dress Code Non-exempt, hourly position. Business casual attire, which includes slacks or khakis, dress shirt or blouse, open-collar or polo shirt, knit shirt or sweater, and loafers or closed-toed shoes. Direct Reports N/A Benefits Benefits (all employees): Sick time in accordance with Colorado state law. Double time pay for company-identified holidays. Complimentary meals provided during shifts.
Full-time employees receive additional benefits:
Health, Dental, and Vision insurance after 60 days of employment. Earned Paid Time Off (PTO) begins accruing from start of employment, available after 90 days. 401(k) retirement plan eligibility after 1 year. 4 hours of holiday pay after 6 months of full-time status for all company-identified holidays.
