Job Description

Front Desk Associate The Front Desk Associate will greet and direct members, guests and staff as they enter the gym. This position will provide assistance to current members along with inquiries about gym operations and policies, as well as perform various administrative duties. This detail-oriented individual will possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and members.
Essential job duties and responsibilities:
  • Greet each member and guests as they enter and leave the facility
  • Ensures each member is using the proper check-in procedures
  • Provides new guests with a tour of the gym and helps answer questions about current membership options
  • Assists guests with purchasing a new membership and any additional services
  • Answers phone in a professional and courteous manner
  • Clean and maintain the front desk area and gym workout floor using the hourly cleaning schedule
  • Attend weekly staff meetings as scheduled
  • Personal training if applicable
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED required or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excel in time management, organizational and follow-up skills
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
  • Basic understanding of cash processing procedures required.
  • CPR/AED certification required upon hire (Must have within 90 days of hire)
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Evenings and Weekends required.
Experience:
  • Customer service experience (1 year preferred)
Pay:
From $15.50 per hour
