Job Description

Full-Time Receptionist - North Shore Health and Rehab Position Overview We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and compassionate Full-Time Receptionist to serve as the welcoming first impression for our skilled nursing facility. This role primarily covers weekday shifts (Monday-Friday). As the front-line representative, you will create a warm, supportive atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, staff, and vendors while handling essential administrative tasks.
Schedule Primary:
Monday-Friday, 8a-5p Key Responsibilities Greet and warmly welcome all visitors, residents, family members, and vendors upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and directing them appropriately. Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional, courteous manner; take accurate messages and route them to the appropriate staff or department. Manage the visitor sign-in/sign-out process, ensuring compliance with facility security, visitation policies, and infection control protocols. Handle general administrative duties, including sorting and distributing mail, maintaining accurate visitor logs, and assisting with basic clerical tasks (filing, copying, data entry). Provide information to callers and visitors about the facility, services, visiting hours, and resident updates (while respecting privacy and HIPAA regulations). Assist residents or families with simple requests, such as directing them to activity areas, answering general questions, or notifying staff of needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk/reception area. Support other administrative needs as assigned during slower periods or as directed by the office manager or administrator. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred (experience in healthcare, senior care, or long-term care is a plus but not required). Excellent communication skills with a warm, patient, and empathetic demeanor. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a busy environment while remaining calm and professional. Basic computer proficiency (e.g., email, Microsoft Office, or facility software for logging visitors). Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on weekends. Must pass a background check and any required health screenings (e.g., TB test). Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding resident dignity and rights.
Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
