Job Description

Pawsome Vet Care is looking for an experienced full time or part time veterinary receptionist to join our team! Do you enjoy fostering a relationship with clients? We are a rapidly growing private, veterinarian-owned small animal clinic in Enfield, CT, with a focus on creating veterinary care that feels better—for our team, our patients, and our clients. For our clients, this means outstanding communication, client education, and transparent pricing to ensure we are all on the same page. Our hopes for you are:
A desire to help foster and establish a healthy, collaborative team culture At least 2 years veterinary experience Excellent attention to detail, including spelling, data entry, and information relay between doctors and clients Comfort and willingness to assist in client education and facilitate thorough communication Outstanding computer skills to manage Shepherd, our cloud-based software, as well as proficiency with Google Drive, spreadsheets, gmail, and word processing Robust phone and digital communication skills to support client and clinic needs, including the scheduling of appointments, medication requests, phone triage of sick patients, quality of life discussion, and communication with other hospitals Fear Free Certification or willingness to obtain said certification (paid for by us) Bonus skills: Competence in a language other than English, including ASL Willingness to assist with social media and marketing Comfort with patient handling Comfort and willingness to aid in writing of SOPs What we offer: Starting compensation of $21/hour for an experienced veterinary receptionist, with the ability to level up to higher pay rates Progressive paid time off and sick leave with duration of employment Parental leave Retirement Health insurance reimbursement Disability insurance Continuing education stipend Payment of dues for Fear Free and other certification Uniform allowance Pet care discount Bereavement leave Pawsome Vet Care is an equal opportunity employer.
