Veterinary Receptionist - Emergency

Animal ER of University Park opened in November of 2003 to serve the people and pets of Manatee and Sarasota counties. Our highly experienced and well-utilized team supports our DVMs to practice the highest quality emergency medical and surgical care. We just moved into our brand-new, 5,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility and are open 24/7!

Job Description:

Facilitate a high level of customer experience Manage a high call volume and multi-line phone system Handle all phone inquiries, transferring calls to appropriate party Keep reception desk tidy and the refreshment center fully stocked Enter client information into company software Understand veterinary medical terminology and abbreviations Handle all forms of payments and account management Control emotional situations through your own body behavior Other tasks and projects as needed Who we're looking for: Prior experience with animals in a veterinary environment required Prior experience in emergency veterinary medicine preferred Prior experience working in customer experience required Maintain positive attitude and work well under pressure Excellent interpersonal skills, active listener, empathetic Strong desire to help others, people oriented Solution-oriented with a high attention to detail Strong technical skills - (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Google Suite) The ability to learn veterinary software programs (previous experience with ezyVet a plus!)
