Studio Manager The Dance Method Bunnell, FL Compensation:
$22-$26 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Position Overview The Dance Method is seeking a highly organized, energetic, and people-oriented Studio Manager to oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of our growing dance studio. This position serves as the primary daytime point of contact for current and prospective families and functions as the studio's front-office leader during daytime operating hours. The Studio Manager works closely with the studio owner, administrative staff, and teaching team to support enrollment, retention, communication, billing, customer service, event planning, and overall studio operations. The Studio Manager is expected to be a positive leader within the organization, helping to create a welcoming, family-friendly environment while supporting the studio's mission of being "So Much More Than Dance." A Note About Our Culture At The Dance Method, relationships matter. This position involves frequent interaction with children, families, staff members, and prospective customers. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to contribute to a positive, family-focused culture. While dance experience is not required, an appreciation for working with children and families is essential. Schedule & Seasonal Hours Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-3:00/3:30 PM. The Dance Method's regular dance season runs from approximately mid-August through mid-May. During this time, this position generally averages approximately 25-32.5 hours per week. As a seasonal business, hours may fluctuate based on enrollment cycles, performances, special events, and studio needs.
Typical annual schedule includes:
Approximately 2 weeks of winter closure during the holiday season Approximately 2 weeks of closure following the Spring Showcase in May A lighter summer schedule from mid-May through mid-August Approximately 2 weeks with no classes prior to the start of the new season During these periods, available work hours may be reduced. Additional hours may occasionally be required during busy seasons, registration periods, showcase preparation, open houses, picture day, community events, and other special studio activities. Candidates should be comfortable with a position that follows the seasonal nature of a dance studio and may experience fluctuations in weekly hours throughout the year. ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Communications Serve as the primary daytime point of contact for families and prospective customers Serve as the acting receptionist during daytime operating hours Welcome and assist students, families, visitors, and prospective customers entering the studio Answer incoming phone calls, emails, text messages, and online inquiries in a timely and professional manner Answer questions from parents and visitors regarding classes, schedules, policies, events, and general studio operations Provide studio tours and assist prospective families through the enrollment process Schedule trial classes and follow up with prospective families Build positive relationships with students and families Address parent concerns, questions, and conflicts professionally and compassionately Resolve routine issues independently and elevate concerns to the owner when appropriate Maintain a professional, friendly, and welcoming front desk presence Monitor lobby activity and help ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment Support daytime classes, rentals, and studio activities by assisting families and addressing operational needs as they arise Enrollment & Family Support Process registrations, transfers, class changes, and withdrawals Maintain accurate student and family records Assist families with account questions and studio policies Support student retention efforts and family satisfaction Ensure families receive accurate and consistent information regarding studio procedures Billing & Administrative Operations Monitor tuition payments and account balances Assist with billing, payment plans, and account discrepancies Follow up on overdue accounts and outstanding balances Maintain organized digital and physical records Assist with reporting and administrative projects as assigned Support implementation and adherence to studio policies and procedures Studio Operations Maintain organization and cleanliness of lobby, office, and common areas Restock office, restroom, and studio supplies Perform light cleaning and routine facility upkeep Assist with event preparation and logistics Coordinate administrative aspects of performances, showcases, and special events Help ensure the studio environment remains safe, welcoming, and professional Perform occasional errands or operational tasks as needed Leadership & Team Support Assist with onboarding and training administrative team members Provide guidance and support to front desk staff and receptionists Help maintain consistency in customer service, communication, and administrative procedures Collaborate with teaching staff to support student success and family satisfaction Communicate operational concerns, parent feedback, and opportunities for improvement to studio leadership Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture Act on behalf of the owner in routine operational decisions and problem-solving situations Participate in regular planning and strategy meetings with the studio owner Assist in the preparation, organization, and execution of studio events, performances, showcases, registration periods, and special programs Help anticipate upcoming operational needs and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner Contribute ideas and solutions to improve studio operations, customer experience, and team effectiveness Qualifications Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Professional conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Comfortable learning and utilizing studio software and technology systems Previous experience in administration, customer service, office management, education, childcare, dance, fitness, or a related field preferred Management or leadership experience preferred Who We're Looking For At The Dance Method, we believe we are so much more than dance.
