Position Overview:
The Front Desk Specialist plays a key role in delivering great patient experiences by providing smooth, efficient, and personalized service throughout a patient's journey with us. In this role, you will drive the patient intake and discharge process, including greeting patients, capturing and updating key patient information (e.g., medical info, insurance, financial info), sharing key information with patients upon departure, scheduling follow-up appointments, and maintaining key records & systems (e.g., health insurance, balancing cash drawer). Front Desk team members should be knowledgeable about OrthoNOW's offers and be able to guide patients through their insurance benefits, payment policies, and billing processes, as well as any clinician instructions.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent 1+ years experience in medical office setting Excellent verbal & written communication skills to connect with patients Ability to escort or transport patients by wheelchair when appropriate Ability to work all assigned shifts (could include day, evening, and weekend hours as needed) Basic computer skills; types 25 words per minute with 96% accuracy Accurately process money transactions Work and act with integrity and a high degree of self-sufficiency Preferred Familiarity with basic medical terminology 1+ year experience in customer-facing work Potential starting pay: $20/hour
