Job Description

Job Overview:
CasaBlanca Medical, a new healthcare provider, is currently seeking a dynamic and compassionate Front Desk to join our team. As the Front Desk Receptionist at CasaBlanca Medical, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. Your primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service while efficiently managing administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the front desk area.
Responsibilities:
  • Greeting and assisting patients: Welcome patients and visitor as they arrive at the medical center. Provide information and assistance as needed, including directing them to the appropriate department or staff member.
  • Answering phone calls: Handle incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. Direct calls to the appropriate individuals or departments and provide accurate information to callers.
  • Appointment scheduling: Schedule patient appointments using the medical center's scheduling system. Coordinate with the medical staff to ensure appointment availability and patient preferences are accommodated.
  • Patient registration and verification: Collect and enter patient demographic information accurately into the electronic medical records system. Verify insurance coverage and eligibility, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
  • Payment processing: Collect payments for services rendered, including co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Process payments accurately and securely, providing receipts to patients as needed.
  • Maintaining reception area: Keep the reception area clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Ensure reading materials, brochures, and other informational materials are stocked and neatly arranged.
  • Administrative support: Assist with various administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, and sorting mail. Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow and support the overall functioning of the medical center.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Strong organizational, skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is desirable.
  • Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to maintaining patients' confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
  • Comply with all HIPPA regulations.
Minimum Training and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience is a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
