Job Title:

Receptionist PACE Job Summary Perform receptionist duties for assigned department following department protocols and procedures. Assists with clerical duties as needed. Essential Job Functions

• Handles all telephone calls, transfers calls to appropriate parties and greats and directs visitors.
• Transfers calls to voicemail or takes messages and delivers them to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
• Distributes incoming mail, copies and faxes documents in a timely manner.
• Emergency situations with clients/caregivers/providers are referred to appropriate parties.
• Maintains unit specific documentation as per department guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Provides assistance to staff and clerical support as needed.
• Attends department meetings and in-services as needed.

Job Requirements Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• 6 months of related experience preferably in a healthcare setting.

Licenses/Certifications:

• N/A Abilities Required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Demonstrated ability to handle busy switchboard
• Costumer Service Skills, Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated caring attitude/ability to work with geriatric patients Functional Demands Environment Work Conditions
• Normal working condition with adequate lighting and ventilation Infectious Material Exposure
• No routine exposure to blood/body fluids/tissues, but may occasionally require performing unplanned activities which may involve exposure to blood/body fluids/tissues. Organizational Expectations
