EDUCATION

Must be able to read, write, speak and follow written and/or oral direction in English.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Fitness center experience is helpful but not necessary. Customer service experience necessary. Must be CPR certified.

JOB KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of laws of common courtesy is necessary; must have ability to perform multi-tasks and have great organizational skills.

JOB SUMMARY

Greet members as they enter and exit the Fitness Center. Provide members with towels and locker keys. Answer the phone promptly and properly; fold towels; maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Front Desk to include all policies and reservation procedures. Build a rapport and learn names of most, if not all, members. Ring up sales on the computer and run reports. Perform other jobs as deemed necessary by the Fitness Center Director.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

Must be able to work standing on feet for several hours at a time: Must be able to lift, carry, and move a minimum of 30 pounds.

DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

1. Be punctual at all times and arrive to work on time, consistently. 2. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends and holidays. 3. Must be in proper uniform, crisp, and in good repair, upon entering the property, including wearing nametag. Demeanor must be professional and welcoming. 4. Must be a team player and a positive role model to other staff team members. 5. Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; Management has final approval. 6. Become proficient on all appropriate equipment and safety features. 7. Know and perform all opening and closing duties as assigned. 8. Keep work areas neat, clean, and orderly. 9. Give out towels and locker keys to members. 10. Answer phone, forward call or take detailed messages and deliver to appropriate person. 11. Maintain all logs and files. 12. Appropriately take reservations for Fitness Center services and events. 13. Learn Point Of Sale (POS) computer system and ring in all sales. 14. Check in all new members and guests. 15. Perform other jobs that will assist in quality member service as assigned by the Assistant Fitness Center Director or Fitness Center Director. 16. Keep binders organized and up to date. Make copies as needed. 17.
