Midwestern Construction Inc. is a leading construction company committed to excellence in safety, quality, and productivity. We are seeking a dedicated Office Assistant / HR Assistant to join our team and support our administrative and human resources functions.
Job Description:
The Office Assistant / HR Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our office operations and HR department. This position requires a highly organized and proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day office operations, including answering phones, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies. Support the HR department with maintaining employee records, and coordinating training sessions. File documents and maintain organized office records. Create and maintain employee files, ensuring all folders are complete. Complete enrollment paperwork for new hires and manage employee records. Upload and keep track of PTO requests. Schedule interviews for hiring and assist with the recruitment process. Perform reconciliations and manage credit card entries. Conduct daily checks on credit card transactions and ensure accuracy.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred. 1-2 years of experience in an office or HR assistant role, preferably in a construction or similar industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Detail-oriented and proactive problem solver.
