Job Description

Position We are seeking a professional and customer focused Front Desk Receptionist with medical office experience to serve as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to manage administrative and patient service responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a courteous and professional manner Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and identification Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately Assist patients with intake forms and general office questions Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Administrative Duties Manage front desk operations and maintain organized reception area Scan, file, and update medical records accurately Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and insurance verifications Maintain appointment calendars and provider schedules Handle incoming mail, faxes, and office correspondence Communication & Coordination Communicate effectively with medical staff, providers, and patients Escalate urgent patient concerns to clinical staff when necessary Support office workflow and patient satisfaction initiatives Maintain professionalism during high-volume periods Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Bilingual (English and Spanish) Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic office equipment Ability to multitask and work independently Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Professional phone etiquette Compassionate and patient centered attitude Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Benefits Monday to
