Job Overview Brown Veterinary Clinic is looking for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our busy and fast paced clinic. The ideal candidate will have an energetic and welcoming demeanor, as they will be setting the tone for the client's exceptional pet care experiences. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and visitors, ensuring smooth clinic operations while providing outstanding customer service. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a positive environment that supports both our clients and their beloved animals. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a passionate team dedicated to animal health and well-being. Responsibilities Greet clients and visitors warmly, creating a friendly and professional atmosphere. Answer multi-line telephones Manage appointment scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and client communications efficiently. Handle medical collections with accuracy and sensitivity, ensuring proper documentation. Maintain detailed records of pet care, treatments, and laboratory results in compliance with veterinary terminology standards. Experience Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter is highly preferred. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures is essential. Knowledge of pet care practices is a plus to support comprehensive client services. Ability to handle animals confidently across various species, including dogs, cats and small exotics if applicable, demonstrating excellent animal handling skills. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients, team members, and vendors in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
