Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. 1 year of Veterinary Clinic experience required. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Handle client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate information about services and procedures. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Process payments and manage medical collections as needed. Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint and handling during examinations or treatments. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Educate clients on pet care, vaccination schedules, and preventive health measures. Collaborate with team members to ensure a high standard of care for all patients. Qualifications Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Spanish, are encouraged to apply as this will enhance communication within our diverse clientele. Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is required. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and basic pet care practices Strong animal handling skills, including experience with dog handling and animal restraint techniques. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with medical collection processes is a plus. A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing quality care.
