Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Weekend Kennel Tech and Receptionist, where your energy and compassion will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. This dynamic role combines caring for animals with providing exceptional customer service, all while maintaining a lively and positive environment. You will be responsible for caring for animals during weekend shifts a double on Friday 10-12 hours and split shifts on Saturday and Sunday, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being, as well as managing front desk duties to greet clients, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries. Duties Provide attentive care to dogs and other pets, including feeding, administering medication, cleaning kennels, and monitoring their health and behavior Handle animal restraint safely during grooming or intakes. Assist with dog activities to promote good behavior and socialization among pets Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nails when needed. Manage front desk operations by answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, and addressing customer inquiries with enthusiasm Maintain cleanliness of kennels, reception area, and treatment spaces to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. Qualifications Prior experience working with animals in kennels, veterinary clinics, pet grooming salons or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safety for pets and staff Experience with pet grooming, pet sitting or veterinary technician duties is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling supplies or animals weighing up to 50 pounds or more Familiarity with animal care practices including dog training, veterinary assistance or animal behavior management is desirable Enthusiastic attitude with a genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing excellent care Join us in creating a joyful environment where pets feel loved and owners feel confident they're in good hands! Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Employee discount On-the-job training Paid training Application Question(s): This position will be a double shift on Friday 10-12 hours and split shifts on the weekend, Saturday 745-12 & 330-6 and Sunday 730-10 and 4-6 . These shifts are mandatory for this position. Will be willing able to work these days and hours? Holidays are mandatory for this position. Will you be able and willing to do a holiday shift? You will not work the entire holiday but will be expected to cover 1 of the 2 feeding shifts. There may be a time where we need a shift covered on another day is this something you would be available to do? This position requires lifting, stretching, squatting, cleaning working in the elements with different chemicals and different breed and temperament pets. It can be loud and hectic at times.
