Role Summary:
As a Receptionist at VEC, you are the first and last point of contact for pet owners during some of their most emotional moments. You'll provide compassionate, efficient, and informative service in a fast-paced emergency care setting.
Responsibilities:
Greet clients and their pets with empathy and professionalism Answer high-volume phone lines, triage calls, and provide basic information (no medical advice) Accurately enter client and patient data into the system (Cornerstone) Collect payments, process admissions/discharges, and manage paperwork Maintain confidentiality in compliance with AVMA guidelines and Florida law Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and veterinary teams
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous receptionist or customer service experience (veterinary setting preferred) Strong computer and typing skills Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations Looking for a hospital you can put your client communication skills to good use and continue to grow your education and skill level?
