The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for animal welfare, and the ability to manage multiple administrative and client-facing responsibilities efficiently. As the first point of contact for clients and their pets, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting veterinary staff in delivering high-quality care. This position offers an engaging environment where compassion, organization, and attention to detail are highly valued. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly and manage appointment scheduling to optimize clinic flow. Handle medical billing and collections with accuracy and professionalism. Maintain detailed records of pet health histories, treatments, and laboratory results. Assist with pet care tasks such as animal husbandry, restraint, and basic grooming when needed. Support veterinary staff with laboratory procedures, specimen handling, and aseptic techniques. Manage kennel operations including animal intake, discharge, and daily care routines. Facilitate effective communication between clients and veterinary team regarding pet health concerns and treatment plans. Ensure the reception area remains organized, clean, and welcoming at all times. Qualifications Prior experience in veterinary reception or a related pet care environment is preferred. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques is highly desirable. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, medical collections, and aseptic techniques. Experience with dog handling, pet grooming, and animal husbandry practices. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with clients and team members. Basic proficiency in veterinary software systems and laboratory equipment operation is advantageous. A genuine passion for animal welfare combined with a professional attitude is essential for success in this role.
