The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, and a genuine passion for animal care. As the first point of contact for clients and their pets, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations, providing outstanding customer service, and supporting the health and well-being of animals. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly and professionally, establishing a welcoming atmosphere for pet owners and visitors. Manage appointment scheduling efficiently, coordinating with veterinary staff to optimize daily operations. Handle medical collections accurately, processing payments and insurance claims with attention to detail. Maintain comprehensive patient records, ensuring all veterinary information is current and properly documented. Assist with client communication by providing information about pet care, vaccination schedules, and follow-up instructions. Facilitate laboratory procedures by preparing samples and assisting with basic diagnostic tasks when needed. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area, including pet handling supplies and administrative materials. Demonstrate animal handling skills such as restraint techniques for various species to support veterinary procedures. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and doctors during critical care situations, applying aseptic techniques as required. Maintain knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and pet grooming practices to assist clients effectively. Support pet care activities including dog training, animal husbandry, and general animal husbandry tasks to promote overall well-being. Requirements Prior experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles within animal healthcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, laboratory procedures, and critical care practices is advantageous. Experience with animal handling, restraint techniques, and pet grooming enhances effectiveness in the role. Familiarity with medical collection processes and pet care routines such as kennel management is desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to interact clearly with clients, staff, and external vendors. Basic understanding of laboratory procedures, animal anatomy, and aseptic techniques is beneficial. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining professionalism under pressure. A genuine passion for animals combined with a caring attitude towards pet owners' needs is essential.
