Job Description

Busy GYN office seeking a professional and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team in our Decatur location. As the first point of contact for our office, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office, possess strong computer literacy skills, excel in multi-tasking, have a bubbly personality and is highly motivated. The Front Desk Receptionist Float will be based in our Decatur office, but will be responsible for covering our Athens, Lawrenceville, and Covington office when needed. Candidates first 2 weeks of training will be in Tifton, GA.
Duties:
  • Travel to our Athens, Lawrenceville or Covington office when coverage is needed.
  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
  • Answer multiple telephone lines
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
  • Check patients in and out, verify insurance information, and collect necessary paperwork
  • Assist with patient registration and update patient records in the computer system
  • Sending and receiving medical records
  • Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in a medical office is preferred, but not required
  • Proficient in using phone systems, computerized scheduling software, and other office equipment
  • Strong typing skills with excellent accuracy
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well in a team environment Multi-tasking and being able to stay positive is key!
The position is full time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (or until the last patient leaves) . No weekends or holidays!!!
