Job Description

Job Summary Daniel Perry Psychiatry is seeking a dependable, organized, and patient-focused Front Desk / Medical Assistant to be the first point of contact for our practice. This role is essential to keeping daily operations running smoothly while providing compassionate, professional support to our patients. The ideal candidate has medical assistant or pharmacy experience , is comfortable handling sensitive information, and can confidently manage both administrative and basic clinical responsibilities in a mental health setting. Front Desk & Administrative Duties Answer and manage incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently Schedule new patient appointments, follow-ups, and reschedules Verify patient information and maintain accurate records Respond to basic billing and insurance questions (copays, deductibles, coverage guidance) Coordinate with providers regarding scheduling and patient flow Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Clinical Support Check and record vitals for Spravato patients per protocol Assist with patient intake and room flow as needed Ensure clinical areas are prepared and organized Office & Facility Support Keep the front desk, waiting area, and common spaces tidy and welcoming Stock supplies and notify management of low inventory Support overall office organization and daily operations Schedule new patient appointments, follow-ups, and reschedules Verify patient information and maintain accurate records Respond to basic billing and insurance questions (copays, deductibles, coverage guidance) Coordinate with providers regarding scheduling and patient flow Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Requirements Medical Assistant experience OR Pharmacy experience (required) Must be available evenings and every other Saturday Previous experience in a medical or mental health office preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable discussing insurance and billing at a basic level Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Professional, calm, and compassionate demeanor Preferred Skills Experience in psychiatry or behavioral health Familiarity with EMR systems Knowledge of insurance plans and prior authorizations Ability to work independently and as part of a team

From $25.00 per hour
