The Receptionist manages the front desk, acting as the first point of contact, handling calls, greeting clients/donors/volunteers, and providing administrative support like managing mail, light housekeeping, making program files, entering transactions into Boomerang and maintaining the reception area, all while embodying the organization's mission with warmth, professionalism, and compassion for diverse populations. This position requires strong communication, multi-tasking, and customer service skills. This position will float between the Admin Office and the Fresh Start Center.Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED and 2 years' experience as a Receptionist, Office Assistant, Front Desk and/or Customer Service Associate, ideally in a non-profit social service setting.Experience:
Individual must have excellent verbal/written communication, customer service, active listening, problem-solving, multi-tasking, time management and computer proficiency (MS Office). The ability to answer, screen, and direct incoming calls on a multi-line system; manage voicemail and forward messages appropriately. Must be able to provide accurate information about the organization's programs, services, and mission; refer clients to appropriate internal or external resources. The individual must maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception/lobby area. Humility Homes and Services, Inc. Know and implement HHSI's mission, policies, and procedures, adhere to HHSI's agency values in all aspects of work; and abide by all city, state, and federal laws, and regulations. Maintain training in boundaries, bloodborne pathogens, fire safety, cultural competency, workplace safety, active shooter, CPR/First Aid, Verbal Judo, Trauma Informed Care, domestic violence training, mandatory child and dependent adult abuse, and Housing First practices. Greet, welcome, and direct all visitors, clients, and volunteers with professionalism, kindness, and empathy. 2.Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls on a multi-line system; manage voicemail and forward messages appropriately. Provide program support, by creating program files as needed for Program Staff, Supervisors or Chief Programs Officer, assist fundraising/donor communication tasks. Keep common areas in the Admin Office and Fresh Start Center clean and free of debris. Utilize Boomerang to post transactions. Provide accurate information about the organization's programs, services, and mission; refer clients to appropriate internal or external resources 3.Administrative and Other Duties:
Support Admin Staff on special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Maintain strict confidentiality of participant, employee, and donor financial information in accordance with agency policies and applicable regulations. Attends required Agency meetings. Performs other duties as needed/assignedSchedule:
Full-Time in office position. Must be able to work 36 hours per week, within the regular office hours of 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday. Flexibility as needed to meet Agency needs.Salary:
