LSSI is hiring a part-time Receptionist at the Welcoming Center, Saturday through Sunday. Responsible for supporting weekend clinic operation by performing clerical and supportive financial duties. Also responsible for operating in a highly compassionate, responsible, and independent manner to manage administrative tasks of an outpatient behavior health clinic and walk-in crisis center.

Essential Functions:
Answer incoming phone calls and greet clients and walk-ins at the door. Provide information and refer calls and visitors to appropriate staff. Perform clerical duties, including but not limited to filing, faxing, copying, and mailing. Record and balance payment in designated system on a daily basis. Collect co-pays and deductibles on a daily basis. Complete MEDI checks and Run MaxRTE daily. Coordinate with Office Manager to ensure insurance verification is completed for new clients opened on weekends. Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Background check clearance required. Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize Care Logic (CL) electronic health record in order to perform essential job functions required. Experience with mental health billing preferred. Experience meeting the public tactfully and courteously, answering questions in person and over the telephone, and communicating effectively and respectfully with clients and members of the community. Experience performing confidential clerical work with speed and accuracy required. Experience monitoring and controlling patient records to ensure required confidentiality, following HIPAA regulations required. Demonstrated knowledge of practices and terminology used in clerical, accounting, and in a medical setting preferred. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with counseling and nursing staff to meet client needs preferred. Demonstrated ability to learn and effectively implement de-escalation techniques preferred. Knowledge of practices and terminology used in clerical, accounting, and in a medical setting preferred. Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing. Excellent organization, presentation, and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
