RECEPTIONIST SUMMARY
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and employees in the skilled nursing facility. This position is responsible for providing professional customer service, operating the front desk and telephone system, directing visitors, performing clerical and administrative support functions, and helping maintain a welcoming, organized, and secure environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greets residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and employees in a courteous and professional manner. Answers, screens, and directs incoming telephone calls; takes and relays messages accurately and promptly. Provides general information regarding the facility and directs inquiries to the appropriate department. Assists residents, family members, visitors, and staff as needed. Maintains visitor sign-in logs and follows facility security and access procedures. Monitors the reception area and reports safety, security, or visitor concerns to the Administrator or appropriate department. Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail, packages, deliveries, and courier items. Performs clerical and administrative duties, including data entry, copying, scanning, faxing, and filing. Maintains office records, forms, logs, and other documentation as assigned. Assists with scheduling and maintaining transportation appointment records as assigned. Maintains confidentiality of resident, employee, and facility information in accordance with facility policies and applicable privacy laws. Communicates effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff to promote positive customer service and resident satisfaction. Follows facility policies and procedures, professional standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Reports resident concerns, complaints, incidents, or unusual occurrences to the Administrator or appropriate department. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Long Term Care Experience preferred. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
