Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a warm, high-energy, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist / Patient Coordinator to join our vibrant pediatric dental team! As the first face and voice our patients and their families encounter, you will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming, positive, and anxiety-free environment. The ideal candidate loves working with children and parents, excels at multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and possesses exceptional communication skills. Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is highly preferred to best serve our diverse community.
Duties and Responsibilities Patient Hospitality:
Greet children and their parents warmly upon arrival; manage the check-in and check-out process with a friendly, welcoming demeanor.
Scheduling Excellence:
Efficiently schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using Curve Dental software to maintain an optimized daily workflow.
Communication Hub:
Answer multi-line phone calls, respond promptly to office text messages and emails, and manage general patient inquiries with excellent phone etiquette.
Insurance Coordination:
Call insurance providers to verify pediatric dental benefits, eligibility, and breakdown of coverage.
Financial Management:
Present treatment plans, calculate patient copays, and accurately collect and process payments (cash, credit/debit cards).
Bilingual Assistance:
Provide translation support for Spanish-speaking families during check-in, scheduling, and financial/treatment plan explanations.
Inventory Control:
Monitor office supply levels, track inventory, and assist with ordering necessary supplies.
Records & Compliance:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date digital patient records, scanning and uploading necessary medical histories, referral forms, and consent documents in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
General Administration:
Keep the reception and waiting area tidy and child-friendly; assist with basic daily closing reports and cross-train with other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Experience Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a dental receptionist or medical front desk coordinator (Pediatric dental experience is a major plus!).
Software Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with Curve Dental software (or similar cloud-based dental practice management software) is highly preferred.
Language Skills:
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred/required.
Skills:
• Strong computer literacy and data entry skills. Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills. Solid understanding of dental terminology, codes (CDT), and dental insurance structures. Outstanding time-management and multitasking abilities.

Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
Alternating Days:
Occasional Wednesdays or Thursdays (advance notice will be provided).
Hours:
8:00 AM•5:00
PM Weekends:
None•Enjoy your weekends off!
Pay:
$18.00•$25.00 per hour
