Job Description:
Our client, a financial services firm in Downtown Chicago, is searching for a Temp-to-Hire Receptionist. The ideal candidate is polished, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional service to clients, visitors, and internal team members. If you're energized by variety in your day-to-day and enjoy being the go-to person in a collaborative setting with outstanding work-life balance, this may be the perfect position for you! Note this position requires 5 days in-office per week. It begins at a $20-25/hour and shifts to $50,000-$55,000 once permanent.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day activities of the office and serve as the main point of contact in the front desk area. Manage daily office communications including phone calls, emails, and physical mail, forwarding/distributing when necessary Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary materials Provide team with administrative support and assistance with assembling meeting materials, booking room reservations, and anticipating meeting needs Maintain up-to-date desk procedures and visitor logs Be flexible and can work overtime if necessary
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required 1+ years of corporate office experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Excellent verbal and written communication skills Superior customer service mindset and polished professional demeanor Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask independently
