This position is responsible for ensuring exceptional member and guest service by providing a warm welcome, professional assistance, and accurate communication of Club information. The ideal candidate possesses outstanding interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As the first point of contact for members and guests, the PM Front Desk Receptionist plays a key role in creating a positive and memorable experience while upholding the high standards and hospitality of Butterfield Country Club. Schedule Requirements Part-time evening shifts Weekend availability required, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays as needed Flexible availability preferred
Reports To:
Assistant Clubhouse Manager (Also works closely with Food & Beverage Leadership) Essential Functions Greet members and guests immediately with a warm, professional, and sincere welcome. Use clear and positive communication, addressing members by name and responding promptly to requests or questions. Answer incoming calls promptly (within three rings), taking accurate messages and transferring calls appropriately. If leaving the front desk, notify a manager via radio to ensure proper coverage and communication. Deliver mail and small packages to the appropriate departments or recipients in a timely manner during non-peak hours, or notify management when mail is available for pickup. Provide information on Club hours, amenities, events, and policies as requested. Anticipate member and guest needs and respond proactively to enhance satisfaction, including offering assistance with directions, materials, or carrying items when appropriate. Assist in preparing printed buffet labels for banquets, club events, and dining, or other materials as directed by management. Maintain an organized and tidy front desk area and ensure supplies are stocked. Adhere to Club service standards, policies, and confidentiality requirements. Maintain discretion and professionalism when managing member or guest information. Support other departments as needed to ensure seamless Club operations. Personal cell phone use, including texting, browsing the internet, or searching online, is not permitted while on duty or in the presence of members. Assist in other assignments not included in Duties & Responsibilities as directed by management to support overall Club operations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional hospitality or administrative training preferred. Previous receptionist or customer service experience required; private club or hospitality experience strongly preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications. Excellent multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Physical Requirements Ability to stand or sit for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. Frequent bending, reaching, and light lifting required. Uniform & Appearance Standards Professional country club apparel is required. Shoes must be closed-toe, slip-resistant, and in good repair. Personal appearance must reflect the professionalism and conservative standards of the Club.
Pay:
$16.50 - $19.00 per hour
