The secretary serves as a point of contact for visitors, staff, and community members and is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional environment. This position performs a variety of clerical and customer service duties including answering phones, greeting visitors, directing inquiries, and supporting general office operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet visitors, staff, students, and community members in a professional and courteous manner. Answer and route incoming phone calls to appropriate personnel. Maintain visitor sign-in procedures and ensure building access protocols are followed. Provide general information and assistance to visitors and callers. Maintain the area to ensure it is organized and presentable. Provide clerical support including filing, data entry, copying, and preparing documents. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and records. Support administrative staff with routine office tasks. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain professionalism and composure when interacting with the public. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in office technology including telephones, computers, and basic office software.
