Evening/Weekend Front Desk Coordinator Center for the Homeless - 4.1 South Bend, IN Job Details Full-time $14 - $16 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Computer operation Computer literacy High school diploma or GED Full Job Description We are looking for an evening/weekend Front Desk Coordinator (FDC) to round out our team! FDC's are responsible for the management and oversight of a variety of tasks at our Miller Veterans Center (MVC), including vet services, security, light housekeeping, and light reception/switchboard. They serve as the initial contact for all persons entering or calling the facility, including people in need of MVC services, volunteers, donors, and partner agency personnel; they are expected to greet and treat each with a high level of professionalism and empathy. FDC's also support the MVC case management/coaching team and utilize social work principles when interacting with vets; they facilitate vet compliance with community standards and expectations, provide vets with needed resources, and ensure adherence to safety protocols. FDC's provide task supervision to any volunteers and work-study students assigned to the front desk during their shift. FDC's maintain daily awareness of all scheduled visitors and directs or escorts visitors to meeting locations as needed. FDC's ensure thorough documentation and communication of pertinent clinical and operational information. FDC's must demonstrate good people skills and the initiative to take on tasks as they present themselves. Must be able to work independently and ethically, with the ability to problem solve. Must be available to work primarily second shift on both weekdays and weekends. Good written and verbal communication skills are required, as is a basic knowledge of computing. Previous experience with vulnerable and challenging populations preferred. A veteran is strongly preferred for this position.
