TEMPORARY POSTION
•3 MONTHS
POSITION SUMMARY
Provides administrative support for leadership, staff and others as needed. Interacts with various internal and external customers in verbal, written, and electronic formats. May function as the receptionist for assigned area(s).
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides office support by implementing administrative systems, and procedures, and monitoring administrative projects. Coordinates, schedules, prepares and records minutes for ministry meetings. Maintains electronic calendars. Prepares letters, memos, presentations and other documents. Establishes and maintains document filing system, ensuring complete accuracy, confidentiality and compliance with ministry guidelines. Organizes travel and business arrangements. Maintains office equipment and inventory supply levels. Attends to visitors and address inquiries on the phone and face to face. Supply information regarding the ministry to the general public, clients and customers. Receives and sorts mail and deliveries. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. 3-5 years administrative and clerical experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess strong collaborative, interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking, verbal and written communication skills, and a desire to create a high-performance, effective team that can produce consistent, demonstrated results. Must demonstrate on an ongoing basis the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and ministry leadership. Competencies needed for this position include strong interpersonal relationship skills, detail oriented, work in collaboration with others, demonstrate a high degree of integrity and personal commitment, possess strong analytical skills, be able to work independently and manage multiple deliverables at the same time. Ability to function in a matrixed environment and demonstrate a passion to succeed be self-motivated, dependable, committed, and a willingness to see a project through to its conclusion. Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
